7 Months

I realize this is SUPER late, but we've been busy. Post on that to come later.

Charlotte Rose you are 7 months old. What an amazing 7 months it's been so far baby girl. You continue to grow and learn at an incredible rate, and we couldn't be happier than we are to be your parents. Your an outstanding little being, and we love you more each day. As if that's even possible. You've been pretty chill this month. Just perfecting the already impressive things you do.

Oh except one thing, you say "Moma" now! And you know that I'm Moma. You say it and reach for me. Or you get upset and whiny and want me to pick you up so you say "moma" and reach for me, or you look at me and grin that sneaky grin and say it. I DIE. Every Time. You're working on "Dada", but I'm definitely your favorite.

You may skip crawling, and go straight to walking. You pull up on everything, and are always wanting to stand. When you do and hold our hands, you start taking steps trying to get to wherever it is you want to go. You walk in your Johnny Jump Up too. I've had to move the foyer table b/c you were climbing on it like a spider monkey.

You continue to breastfeed like a champ every 3 hours or so. You aren't really interested in baby food so much, but you love to have whatever it is we're eating, so we've become great sharers. You do eat the baby food I make in the Baby Bullet, and I think it's b/c you see me make it, and it tastes better b/c I just make whatever it is that we're eating. You also chew with your mouth closed about 50% of the time which baffles me. I think it's b/c you see us doing it. Either way I think you're a freaking genius baby.

We love you Chickapea and we're looking forward to what you have in store for us this month! Love so so so so much!

XOXO,
Moma & Daddy

Backyard love

We love our new backyard! We can't even put into words how much we love it! The baby and the dog seem to really enjoy it as well. We will never take a fenced backyard for granted again!

Say Cheese!

That's right, my Daddy loves me.

Ok Moma, enough with the pictures

6 Months

6/13/2012

We have ourselves a bonafide 6 month old! I can't believe it! She has gotten so big so fast it's unbelievable!

Charlotte Rose you are a such a big girl now! You've brought us so much joy and excitement. We didn't know what we were missing until you came around. You surprise us everyday with your humor, personality, curiosity, and love.

You had your 6 month well baby check up today, and you of coursed passed with flying colors. (Can you fail a well baby checkup?) You weigh 19.8 pounds, and are 27 3/4 inches long. Your head is 17 1/2 inches. That head size you can blame solely on your Daddy. Moma had nothin to do with that one. You're in size 4 diapers, and you're wearing 6 to 12 month size clothing. You are a chunk sister!

You have 2 teeth! Kind of. Your two bottom teeth are poking through, and it now officially hurts when you bite. Moma and Daddy can see them when you smile real big. I can't believe you have teeth!

Speaking of your smile... Oh my goodness when you smile, I die. You crack me up! You open your mouth real big, and stick your tongue out part of the way, and your eyes are all crinkly. Oh I just can't stand how cute you are.

And your laugh? I die again. You don't give it up easily, but when you do, I can't help but laugh with you. You laugh when I toss you up in the air, when I lift you up off the changing table, when Daddy smiles real big at you, when Keech walks by, and when we play "This Little Piggy" 9your feet are sooo ticklish!). You do this funny thing where you suck on your bottom lip. You look like a little old man when you do. Cracks me up every time!

You can sit up all by yourself now. Gabbie discovered this talent of yours when we were home last, and she was babysitting. You've had this little trick mastered since 4 1/2 months. I didn't think you were supposed to be able to sit up yet, but apparently Moma was wrong. You now sit up in carts, and in highchairs, and in the stroller. You always seem incredibly pleased with yourself every time you have the chance to prove yourself.

You can't crawl yet, but you're working on it. Right now you roll everywhere you need to go. I'll put you on the floor to play, and I'll turn around to get you more toys and you'll be on the other side of the room just giggling.

You are such a water baby! We go to the pool a lot with Miss Amie, Brayden, and Nicolas, and you have a blast every time. You love to chase Nicolas's noodle around the pool, and when you finally get it you wrap your arms and feet around it so he can't get away. And when he does escape, oh girl you are mad! You scream and flap your arms around like a crazy chicken. It's hilarious, but I always make sure I tell you not to act like that b/c I know that arm flapping won't be cute when you're two.

There's so much we have to learn about you, and you're already an amazing little lady! We can't wait to see who you become! We love you bunches and bunches Chickapea!
XOXO, Moma & Daddy

How do you spend your Mondays?

Mondays usually suck. They're the beginning of the work week for Joe, and the end of eating out and having no responsibilities. We managed to make ours suck less by doing something different. After dinner we took a walk as a family. We usually don't do walks since we have nowhere to walk. Our apartment complex doesn't exactly make intriguing  scenery. Just sayin. It was so nice outside we couldn't resist. We plunked the baby in the stroller, got Keech hooked up in his harness, and poured some wine. What's an evening stroll without some wine :) It was nice to spend some time together as a family before our move this week. (More to come in that later)

Ready to roll

Impatient waiting on Daddy

Taking in the sights

Watching her Keech

Typical walking shoes.

Vino

Blowing rasberries

Oh the chunk

Tellin that paci who's boss

He was watching the lighting bugs

No more, all gone :)
